Agile Community - Rethink Backlog Management
What makes a good product backlog?
On September 18, the Agile Community at DIGITAL MILE Linz focused on one central question: What makes a good product backlog?
Our guest was David Theil, Agile Coach and Change Manager at MIC. With more than 15 years of experience in the IT industry - including as Head of Software, Product Owner, Senior Software Engineer and Scrum Master - he brings with him a broad range of expertise in the areas of product management, agile methods, leadership, change management and AI strategies.
Despite the sunny late summer day, around 30 interested people gathered in the new MIC building to discuss and learn from each other. The evening began interactively: examples of "best" and "worst" backlogs were collected together, which immediately opened up exciting discussions.
David then presented 14 different methods for effective backlog management - from tried-and-tested techniques to new approaches. This variety provided the participants with numerous impulses to reflect on and further deepen the appropriate methods for their own use cases.
The evening showed once again how valuable the open exchange in the community is - practical, inspiring and full of suggestions for everyday life in agile teams.
