
Punch with a heart
The DIGITAL MILE Linz, an association of ten IT companies at the port of Linz, has once again held its annual punch campaign under the motto "Drinking punch for a good cause" . This year, the proceeds of EUR 4,751.78 will go to the UFO youth shelter in Linz which offers support to young people in difficult life situations.
In the run-up to Christmas, the pop-up punch stand made a stop in front of all DIGITAL MILE companies. Employees volunteered their time, serving punch and creating a festive atmosphere with home-baked cookies and live Christmas music. Every cup of punch contributed to the donation total. The funds raised will enable the 16 sleeping places in the emergency youth shelter to be refurbished. Here, young people between the ages of 14 and 24 not only have a safe place to stay overnight, but also receive advice, support and access to further help. The facility also offers work training programs that enable young people to earn their own income and gain valuable experience.
