Linz is top in Austria for childcare and has a 1A ranking.
It is one of the few cities that can boast a comprehensive range of childcare facilities for children from the age of one. A bundling of private and state places makes this possible. Of course, there is also a corresponding range of English-language kindergartens and schools.

Linz is home to headquarters and research centres where expats from all over the world work. And a lot is being done to make them and their families feel at home in Linz. True to the motto: "If the children are doing well, the parents are doing well", a lot is invested in English-language basic education as well as secondary schools. Schools like the Europagymnasium, the Anton Bruckner International School or the Linz International School Auhof (LISA) reflect this global thinking.
