The Red Cross Blood Donor Service and the DIGITAL MILE Linz cordially invite you to the next DiMi blood donation campaign:

• Requirements:
  In principle, anyone between the ages of 18 and 70 may donate blood, every 8 weeks.
  First-time donors must not have reached the age of 60 at the time of their first donation.
  Body weight must be at least 50 kg.
  Info regarding GERMAN SKILLS:
  Currently, every donor must be able to describe their state of health in GERMAN and answer questions during the medical history interview. We at DIGITAL MILE Linz are committed to this and hope to find a solution soon so that language barriers are no longer relevant when donating blood in the future.

• Reasons for exclusion:
  There are important reasons why you may have to take a break or may not be allowed to donate blood permanently.
  Please read these carefully and observe them!
  e.g. tick bite, antibiotics, recent tattoo, fever blister, infectious diseases, ...
  
• It is best to download the app "My blood"!
  The special advantages of this app:
  - fill out the health questionnaire at home in peace up to 48 beforehand
  - at the blood donation campaign, just show the QR code on your cell phone to the doctor
  - the app replaces the blood donor card and the photo ID (after verification)
  - the app provides the results already approx. 2 days after the blood donation (assuming verification); all results remain available in the future
  - it shows you the next blood donation events in the area and also navigates to the collection site if necessary
  - you are automatically informed when you are allowed to donate blood again (after 8 weeks)

A few days before or on the day of the blood donation:

• Please check the reasons for exclusion again to be on the safe side!
• Please allow at least ½ hour in total (pure blood collection only takes approx. 10 minutes).
• Please bring your official photo ID (if available blood donor card) or show the QR code of the app "MY BLOOD" !
• Before donating blood: please be sure to drink enough water and eat something (light food is best)
• Arrival and parking:
  Arrival by public transport: Bus no. 27 or 72, stop "Gallanderstraße" or bus no. 12 or 25, stop "Donauparkstadion (Straßerau)
  Parking: free, directly in front of the building or in the side street (marked karriere.at parking spaces)

Exact procedure of blood donation:

1. Short questionnaire and confidential discussion with the doctor:
   Before donating blood, a detailed health questionnaire must be completed.
   The subsequent confidential discussion with the doctor serves to ensure the safety of the blood products as well as the safety of the blood donors.
2. Blood donation:
   465 ml of blood is taken during the blood donation (only takes about 10 minutes).
3. Rest & snack:
   After donating blood, you should rest a little and have a snack.
   Please wait about 30 min before driving again.
   Please avoid physical exertion on the day of blood donation.
4. Lab results:
   The lab results will be sent to you approx. 4 weeks later.
   With the app MY BLOOD, the results will be sent to you after approx. 2 days!

We ask everyone who is willing to DO GOOD to register as soon as possible.
We need a total of 70 registrations for this blood drive up to 4 weeks in advance.
